There are an estimated nine million hospital-acquired infections annually in the USA and Europe that can result in high mortalities, especially in patients with hampered immune systems. Consequently, there is an urgent need to design and develop novel pipelines of anti-bacterial drugs capable of combating serious bacterial infections and of withstanding the “cunning” efforts of bacteria to develop drug- resistant mechanisms.

Lostam BioPharmaceuticals Ltd was instigated by Dr. Lewis Neville, an experienced scientific researcher with expertise in various disciplines of biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular biology and animal models of disease. The company operates within the framework of the New Generation Technology (NGT) incubator located in Nazareth, approximately 100 km NE of Tel Aviv.
